An increase in size can two significant effects on the organism: first greater size means a decrease in the ratio between surface area and mass (usually) so that heat loss across the skin decreases. Larger animals have a lower rate of metabolism by weight. Secondly is in height's effects on blood pressure differences. In a two meter human we have to adjust our heart rates to avoid orthostatic hypotension. The problem for a giraffe is even more dramatic. hope it helped you. :)
