Is Jacoby Shaddix Christian?
I haven't found any interview he's given or a statement or a bio talking about that, but the lyrics of the song "lifeline" that he co-wrote would make it seem like he is. specifically, these lines:
1. "The I realized that it was all my fault;" because this relates to the christian idea that everyone is a sinner, and that you can only save yourself by accepting Christ as your savior; meaning you are solely responsible for your fate.
2. "I was struck by the light, and I fell to the ground;" which is strikingly similar to the story of Saul, who had been a heavy persecuter of Christians, was on a road and blinded by the light of God, afterwhich he also "fell to the ground," before he was told what he needed to do. he later repented of his sins and became a disciple of Christ.
3. "You know a heart of gold won't take you all the way;" which is an allegory to the some Words of christ, wherein he says that you can "receive salvation by faith alone, not of deed, so that none should boast."
4. several other lines that show his desperation and seeking of relief, that don't necessarily indicate Christianity, but could definitely go with the narrative. you can look up "lifeline papa roach lyrics" and see them for yourself.
