Why won't someone take my blue feather on Harvest moon?

The reason someone won't take your blue feather is because they don't like you enough yet. Sometimes you need to give them more presents, also their hearts must be big and red, sometimes you need to upgrade you house a few times, it all depends on the person.Or your version of Harvest Moon .
