What is a Disadvantage of being an auto mechanic?

Dirty hands, other than that I think it's all positives. I'm a doctor and my brother is an auto mechanic. I often wish I knew what he knew and could fix my own car; especially when it costs my $200 just to fix my brakes! A trade is always a good idea, rich people don't know jack and most can't even fix a broken toilet!
