How many planes were in operation babylift?

Operation Babylift, which took place in April 1975, involved a fleet of 40 aircraft. The majority of these were Lockheed C-5A Galaxy and Lockheed C-130 Hercules planes, used to transport thousands of Vietnamese orphans to the United States. The operation aimed to evacuate children from Vietnam during the fall of Saigon, successfully relocating around 3,000 children.
