What is the geological explanation for the existence of the black mountains in Australia?

black mountain is apparently not a geological phenomena, the only explanation is that the boulders were put there, possibly to bury something or as an excess of earth from a previous mining operation. of course this supposed burial or excavation would have taken place in a prehistory era making it impossible to know for sure.
