Why mower won't start that has spark and good compression and I spray the starting fluid in the carburetor it will start and run until the ether burns off also spark plug is wet after starting?

you will need to clean the carb. the reason it only starts and runs until the ether is gone is because it is not getting fuel through the carb. main jet is probably plugged or the float is stuck.
