When did cadbury get cruchie?

Cadbury acquired Crunchie in 1980 when it purchased the brand from the original manufacturer, the British company, Fry's. The Crunchie bar, known for its honeycomb toffee center coated in chocolate, was first introduced in 1929. Since then, it has become one of Cadbury's popular chocolate bars.
