Did a cookie cutter shark really sink a submarine?

I have researched ALOT on sharks and I do not think that a cookie cutter shark could sink a submarine.It isnt possible because a suubmarine is made of metal and I don't even think that cookie cutter sharks could bite through metal.I hope that this answers you question!:)
