Truman and the atomic bomb

Japan was being bombed with a nuclear bomb because they were at war with the United States. The U.S dropped two Atomic bombs on Japan, the first was on Hiroshima Monday August 6 1945 and the seconded one on Nagasaki Thursday August 9 1945. the bomb was dropped between this short three day period because before Germany had surrendered Stalin and Roosevelt met up and negotiated a proposition. The proposition was that if Stalin helps us invade the country of Japan we will lets Russia attack China (our ally) for its resources. Although Stalin Could not declare war on Japan until 3 months after Ger. surrenders. Ger. surrenders on May 8, three months before that date of Aug. 8 when Russia was suppose to declare war on Japan. Roosevelt said three months after Ger. surrenders so his scientist could have 3 more months to invent the Atomic bomb. After the U.S bombed Japan twice and after the Japanese surrendered Stalin called up Truman (F.D.R died from a stroke) and basically said the U.S.S.R is invading China. Truman replied you did not help us at all with Japan terminating the deal and if you invade China we see that as an act of war upon us and now you have started World War 3 and By the way we have the Atomic Bomb. This lead to the Cold War.
