Are pitbulls allowed in marine corps bases?

as of right now, yes. they are trying to put an order through to ban pitbulls from all marine corps installations. im dealing with this same thing right now. if you are an owner of this breed amongst others you will have to get a nationally recognised temperament test and go through a waiver process to keep your dog on base. once you have a waiver it is only good through December 31st, 2011. your waiver can be terminated if your dog attacks person or animal, escapes from your yard, or is repetatively complained about. if i were you i would look in the marine corps times news section and look for an article about this, that's where i got my info. maybe that way you'll have a better understanding about what to expect. by the way, the temperament test arent always free and they come out of pocket. hope this helps, and good luck
