Tyramine sensitivity can be caused by several drug classes aside from MAOIs. Certain antidepressants, such as serotonin-norepinephrine reuptake inhibitors (SNRIs) and tricyclic antidepressants (TCAs), may also lead to increased sensitivity. Additionally, some antihypertensives, particularly those affecting catecholamine metabolism, can contribute to this sensitivity. Lastly, the use of stimulants and certain narcotics may exacerbate tyramine reactions as well.
