Are silly bands cool

I don't think so they are a waste of money and are a very big distraction during school. But it depends on where you live, where I am kids use them as a way of expressing who they are with silly bandz that mean something to them (lets say you have a dog, they would wear a dog, and If u like the sun you would wear a sun, etc. )
