Ernesto M. Marinas worked alongside his father in the construction, installation and repair of rice mills. In 1960, he resigned from the job and opened The Marinas Machinery Manufacturing Company, Inc. Ernesto Marinas became a local inventor setting up modernized multi-pass rice mill and rice hull mechanical palay dryers through out the Philippines.
