How do you change the taillight assembly on Toyota Highlander 2008 hybrid?

To change the taillight assembly on a 2008 Toyota Highlander Hybrid, first, open the rear hatch and locate the access panel on the interior side of the taillight. Remove any screws or clips holding the panel in place, then disconnect the wiring harness from the taillight assembly. Unscrew the bolts securing the taillight assembly and gently pull it out. Replace it with the new assembly, reconnect the wiring, and reattach the access panel.
