Wedding in Flood is a tragic poem by Taufia Rafat in which he show the miseries of poor people's daughter wedding as they did not gave education to them at the time of their wedding became so much worried that how her in-laws and husband treats her now because people in Pakistani society usually tries their hard to dominate and control the bride in any way and feel her disgusted and mother in-law is like a worrior who is ready for the arrival of bahu so she can point out each and every fault of her and make her embarrassed Infront of everyone also poet highlights how people in Pakistan have craze for dowry ,is it not enough that a family gave their loved one ,their beloved daughter but because they are not capable enough to made anything for themselves the whole life so they want everything from bride's family ,also how men in our society gave so much importance to physical beauty of their bride that they are ready to forgive anything if bride is beautiful and in other way it is opposite and even worse ,wedding is compared to death and misery .
