How many endings are in GTA iv?

There are 8 endings, depending on your choices throughout the game.

Choice 1 is Good if you saved the council, Bad if you let them die.

Choice 2 is Good if you did mostly good acts throughout the game, and Bad if you were pretty ruthless.

Choice 3 is Good if you act respectably in the final dialogue choices and Bad if you act arrogantly.

The 8 endings therefore represent GGG, GGB, GBG, GBB, BGG, BGB, BBG and BBB.

If the Council survives, they will praise Shepard if he acted mostly good, and note he is ruthless but gets the job done if he acted bad.

If the Council dies, Shepard will try to reform the council. If he was good, the ambassador will say the rest will follow humanity due to Shepard's heroism. If he did bad, the ambassador will mention that.

If the Council survives, then Captain Anderson will be nominated to join them if Choice 3 is good, if bad, then it will be Ambassador Udina.

If the Council dies, then Anderson becomes supreme leader if Choice 3 is good, and if bad, then it will be Udina.
