What does l 'été ' mean?

" d'été " means "(of) Summer" in French. There is a slight difference with " de l'été " meaning "(of the) Summer ".

Ex: des fruits d'été, des vêtements d'été > Summer fruits, Summer clothes; la fin de l'été > the end of the Summer.
