Which Comes first Earthquake or volcanoes?

if you look on the damage and the lives at stake, it will be earthquake. first of all, no one knows when an earthquake will occur so people are caught off guard during earthquakes and so many casualties wherein volcanic eruption gives signals before it explodes so people near the volcano can evacuate. second, volcanic eruption affects mostly within 5 kilometer distance from the volcano in contrast to earthquakes that affects cities or sometimes countries. lastly when a volcano under the ocean erupts there are no damages to human but when an earthquake occurs under the ocean and somewhat strong, this will cause tsunamis that are very destructive and may affect not only neighboring countries but even countries far from each other just like what happened during the boxing day tsunami that killed a lot of people from Thailand, Bangladesh and even India.
