Need to remove the glove box by removing two screws, one screw at each end of the underside of the glove box. Once glove box is removed you will see a horizontal bar in front of the cabin filter compartment. Undo the right side of the bar by removing (2) screws. Next loosen the one screw holding the left side of the bar. Do not remove the screw just loosen it. Otherwsie you may have trouble getting that screw back into its' hole.
This will allow you to lower the horizontal bar enough to remove the cabin filter cover. The cover latches onto a clip at the base and another on the top of the compartment. No mechanical fasteners. Once the filter compartment cover is removed, slide the old filter out and slide the new filter in. You may want to vacuum out any debris that may have accumulated in the base of the filter compartment before inserting the new filter. reverse process to put back together.Type your answer here...
This individual neglected to mention that you must first cut away the lower instrument panel bar beneath the glove box door that is exposed after having removed the glove box door. The cutting points are indicated in the panel. After having done this, then loosen the left side screw holding the glove box metal support brace and then remove the right side screw from the brace and rotate it out of your way to gain access to the Cabin Air Filter cover and its removal.
The Japanese designer should be made to perform this task for you.
