You can order a copy of your birth certificate from the Mississippi Department of Health, Vital Records Office by mail. You can download an application from their website and mail it along with a copy of valid photo id, such as a driver's license, and a check, money order, or a bank cashier's check in the correct amount made payable to Mississippi Vital Records. The fee is currently $15 for the first copy and $5 for each additional copy. You can also order online or by phone through a private company called Vitalchek. They provide faster service, but also charge additional fees.
