Why are boyz ii men only three?

Boyz II Men originally started as a quartet, but after the departure of member Michael McCary in 2003, the group continued as a trio. McCary left due to health issues related to multiple sclerosis. The remaining members—Nathan Morris, Wanya Morris, and Shawn Stockman—decided to continue performing and recording as a trio while maintaining the group's legacy.
