Why won't Cynthia let you in the cave in Pokemon platinum?

This is because you are not to be able to enter the Spring Path at that point in the game. You can probably head back after you beat the Pokemon League. What is so special in that cave....there is an item there that allows Giratina to freely go from original form and back.
