Why is the KKK symbol used?

It seems to be because they believe they are superior like the Nazis also believed. They may think that what Hitler did in his reign of genocide against several ethnic groups was the way they would do things too. But it is very hard to understand why people who discriminate and generalize tend to be that way. It may be because that is what influential adults taught them to do when they were innocent children. They believe what they have been told and continue to practice hate because they think that is the way everyone does things. A sad cycle that is hard to break as they teach it to their innocent children who teach it to their innocent children because when they were innocent children that is what they were taught.
