Airplanes fly because of Newtons 3rd law every action has an equal and opposite reaction. the wind hits the wing and deflects down while pushing the plane up. it also "sticks " to the wing and the wing pushes it over the top of the wing shooting it toward the ground, making the same effect as the first reason. although noone really 'knows' how a plane flies this is the most likely answer and popular answer.
