How tall do you have to be to ride Big Thunder Mountain Railroad at Disneyland?

40 inches, and for safety reasons they do take that seriously... if your child is even SLIGHTLY under they WILL NOT be allowed on the ride. If they aren't obviously over 40 inches they will probably be measured two or even three times (once at the entrance, once at the bottom of the first ramp, and possibly again at the actual loading area).
