How do trim someone's split ends?

You can part and section their hair into four sections.

Afterwards you would want to start at the nape (back of a persons head) and comb the hair all the way down.

Split ends are usually very dry and brittle and it will keep the hair form holding curls and or will appear very frizzy looking on the end,

Also while you are clipping split ends make sure you are clipping only the split ends and make sure you are doing it evenly. In some instances the hair is split so bad you may have to cut off an inch at the most.

The majority of time it's much less.

If not, you shouldn't clip no more than a half of inch.

Comb the hair and then at the very end (tip) of the hair you cut the pieces that are separate from each other, it also appears very thin from the rest of your hair too which is on up the shaft. It is very dry brittle looking hair that looks like it's ready to fall off anyway.

In the end after the split ends has been removed, your hair should be manageable, combs easily and lay very easy as to hold it styles better.
