What are the instructions for playing the War card game?

To play the War card game, shuffle a standard deck of cards and deal them evenly between two players. Each player flips over the top card of their deck at the same time. The player with the higher card wins both cards and adds them to their pile. If the cards are of equal value, a "war" is declared, and each player places three cards face down followed by one card face up. The player with the higher face-up card wins all the cards.
