It is important to talk to either parents; a pastor; teacher; counselor at school or a good friend you trust because the victim of bullying feels extremely alone; afraid; feels they do not fit in with any group at school; fear of being cornered and physically harmed by one bully or a group of bullies and this extreme pressure on the victim can cause loss of appetite; insomnia; fear of going to school or missing school; low grades; depression and in some cases the pressure can become so great some victims of bullying have taken their own life. There is a no tolerence policy with bullying in especially New Jersey and other States are following; programs are being set up by the good students in some schools to protect victims of bullying; parents are becoming more proactive; task forces in some police departments are concentrating on bullying and laws are being quickly changed to charge the bully if there should especially be physical violence; stalking or even cyberbullying to cause a victim of bullying to mentally break down.
