What does Jem notice when he picks up his pants?

The myth about Boo Radley is not true. Obviously, Boo Radley tried to sew back the pants the best he can and he also folded the pants properly. The town has mistaken his personality because he doesn't come out of the house too often. The town made a stereotypical assumption of Boo Radley. Hope that helped. (:
