How do you get the level 3 sword in a link game at legend of Zelda oracle of seasons?

The L-2 Noble SWord is found in the Lost Woods by taking the correct path. The first way to do this is to go through a long trading sequence quest to eventually get the Phonograph item, which you then play for the music-loving Deku Scrub, who will give you the directions to the sWord. The second is to just look up the directions and skip the entire trading sequence!
