Comment on jem and scouts visit to first purchase church?

Jem and Scout visit First Purchase church with Calpurnia. Reverend Sykes and the congregation, with the exception of Lulu, are glad to have them there. They all know that Atticus is sacrificing a lot to defend Tom Robinson, one of the congregation.
