Do you need to uninstall Microsoft office 2003 before installing Microsoft office 2007?

Yes, I did that. Just ensure you dont remove any required file while uninstalling Microsoft Excel 2003. Like, when you start uninstalling system will prompt you if you want to keep/remove certain files on your computer. Choose not to remove, if there is dependancy than it will leave your ms office 2007 unfunctional.
