What is difference between whiskey and bourbon?

A brandy is made from fruit whereas a whiskey is made from grain.

Brandy can only be made from distilled wine not just any fruit.

Brandy is made by distilling any fermented fruit juice. Grapes, Oranges, apricot, etc. may all be fermented, and then distilled to make brandy. American fruit brandy's are only artificialy flavored syrups, which should not even be cosidered brandy but a liquer. Whiskey is distilled from fermented grains.
