Can you sue a tattoo shop for giving your 16 year old a tattoo?

Without consent from the parent they are NOT aloud to give a tattoo or piercing to anybody under the age of 18 with a valid ID. It really depends on what information the tattoo artist was given. The child either got someone older to pose as their parent or got a fake ID. The other possability is that the artist is just some random person with a tattoo gun; tattooing is one of the biggest fads right now so everybody is going out and getting tattoo guns saying that they're professionals. You can figure out who did the tattoo and go talk to them. Your child might have lied to them a forged information which would not hold them responsible.
