Is there a limit to how many WOW characters you can have per account?

With the release of Cataclysm, the previous gold limit of 214,748 gold was raised to 999,999g 99s 99c. The old cap was the result of the way that the amount of gold you had was stored in Blizzards database. Now it is an arbitrary number set by Blizzard.
