What are some challenges an archaeologists faces as they excavate or dig?

Archeologists often struggle to get permits to dig somewhere and if they get permission, they have problems keeping the public away from their dig site.

On a dig itself, they need to avoid water and sewage pipes and power lines to get to the things they're trying to dig up and do so carefully to avoid breaking the fragile objects they find.
