What is a person that molests little children called?

A person that molests children is known as a sexual abuser. They are criminals and should be punished, however most will never be caught and most of those that do will either get off or get off with a slap on the wrist. Sadly, their victims can suffer severely without seeing justice or telling anyone about it.
