How do you keep things cold with no access to electricity or ice?

Dig a hole, my friend. Once you get deep enough, which depends on your location and can be 2-4 feet down, the temp in the hole will be much cooler than the surface. Keep the hole shaded and the temp should remain cool and stable all day.
