Where parallel interface is used?

Parallel interfaces are commonly used in applications where high-speed data transfer is required, such as in printers, scanners, and certain types of computer buses. They allow multiple bits of data to be transmitted simultaneously across multiple channels, making them faster than serial interfaces for short distances. However, due to limitations like signal degradation and crosstalk over longer distances, their use has declined in favor of serial interfaces like USB and HDMI. Parallel interfaces can still be found in some legacy systems and specialized industrial equipment.
