What is saturated moisture?

Saturated moisture refers to the condition in which a material, such as soil or air, holds the maximum amount of water vapor or liquid it can contain at a given temperature and pressure. In this state, any additional moisture cannot be absorbed and will typically lead to water pooling or runoff. For example, in soil, saturation occurs when all the pore spaces are filled with water, affecting plant growth and drainage. In the atmosphere, saturated air reaches 100% relative humidity, where it can no longer hold additional water vapor, leading to condensation.
