How do you turn of the Maintenance Required Light on a 2000 Honda Civic Ex?

The maintenance required light only goes on after 7,500 miles since last 'maintenance'. The maintence required light will not turn off by replacing or changing anything, the only way to turn it off is by putting your key in the key slot next to the light.
