Do you need a laptop if you have an iPod touch?

You will only need a computer at first to set up the iPod because if it is new you have to plug it in and open iTunes and configure it or it wont work. No it is not necessary after that though is helpful to get updates and apps. A wireless network is the other way to get apps without computer.
