Stories are made to be read and if you have an ambition of seeing them published one day You may as well start by publishing them at home, It is understandable that you feel self conscious but that is something that you have to come to terms with. So let them see your work they will eventually anyway.
The best way to talk to your parents is honestly! Tell them you don't feel comfortable sharing your stories yet, but that as soon as you feel like it, you'll be glad to let them read it! They probably just want to read them out of curiOSity -- most parents are proud that their kids are writing.
However, if your parents are prying, you might need to hide your writing and get a passWord for your computer -- I hate to advise doing that, because that's going to make them super suspicious and might start a big fight! However, I feel that kids need privacy to write, so long as they're not writing stuff like how to kill themselves or how to make bombs.
