How can you get mother to love you?

Don't know how long you've tried, but you simply cannot positively change her by your actions or behavior. What you can do is adjust to knowing that perhaps you loving her is enough; further, you can accept her for what/how she is. Both of these suggestions will make you a better person. I sympathize with you and tried this for 40 years until I got an answer from my mom, which was, "I just don't like you." Maybe you both have incompatible horoscope signs; oil and vinegar.
