What are the rules for determining the winning hand in poker when players have a pair?

In Poker, when players have a pair, the winning hand is determined by the highest pair. If two players have the same pair, the winner is decided by the highest card outside of the pair. If both players have the same pair and the same highest card, the next highest card is used to determine the winner.
