Why do people get upset with you if you are an adult who is sad about something?

Because there are many selfish people out there and they don't want to be around or be bothered by someone who is sad over something. Real friends will try to help you through your situation in an effort to make you feel better and will give you encouragement. Others who don't really care or don't feel that the situation you are sad over is worth being sad over, will get mad or upset with you. If the situation is real for you and you can't help but feel sad then don't worry about what anyone else thinks. Do you best to work through the situation and forget the ones who are getting upset over the fact that you're sad.
