Why and when do computers go on sale?

There are several times when it is best to buy computer equipment. One of the most famous would have to be Black Friday which is after American Thanksgiving generally around november 28th to 29th. Throughout the year though computers will go on sale from July to September to ramp up for the back-to-school wave.
