What kinds of tennis is there?

Tennis players learn several different serves as they are learning the game. There is the hard, flat serve that usually goes down the middle of the court. There is the spinning slice serve that usually kicks out wide by the time it gets to the returner. There is also a topspin, or kick serve that bounces high at the returner. Players often have a favorite but learn to use them all to gain an advantage over their opponent.
