What country took over Niger?

As of my last knowledge update in October 2023, Niger was taken over by a military junta in July 2023, which ousted the democratically elected president, Mohamed Bazoum. This coup was part of a trend of military takeovers in the Sahel region of Africa. There has been no indication that any foreign country has officially taken over Niger; rather, it is currently under military control.
